Huge tasty portions! Hot pastrami sandwiches are so delicious!! My fave by far, but you cannot ho wrong with any of the choices offered. From breakfast (corned beef hash and eggs), to lunch/dinner (I mentioned the pastrami, right?), to the humongous dessert selections (cakes, rugelach, cookies, try them all), you simply cannot go wrong. My only complaint is the dining area. It's small, somewhat cramped, and not at all comfortable. Still, one of the best places for a hearty lunch by far!!

Family owned traditional Jewish deli. Great food with huge portion sizes. Make sure you bring a big appetite and maybe a friend. The breakfast omelets are easily big enough to share. The bakery also has some amazing treats. The chocolate chip cookies that come with your check are some of the best.

It's obvious why the Famous 4th Street Deli is a Philly institution. Go there hungry, get a lot to eat, and get a lot to take home. The food there is simply wonderful and plentiful, with consistently good service. It's obvious that the owners, managers and employees care about the customers and the deli's reputation. What more do you need?

It gives me significant comfort to know that a deli of this quality is mere blocks from my house. I would contend that the pastrami sold here is as good as any you will get at one of those famous New York joints. I don't think there's any point in ordering anything other than a pastrami sandwich when you go to to Famous Fourth Street. Except, of course, for the cookies. Oh my goodness those cookies are good.
